What is the average amount of poop for one dog?
Depending on the size of the dog, it usually averages one-quarter to one-third of a bucket per week. Extra large dogs average 1/2 bucket per week. That’s a lot of dog poop!
How long does it take for dog poop to decompose?
On average, it takes about 9 weeks for excrement in your yard to break down and decompose. When the weather is cold, decomposition can take up to a year.
How long can bacteria and parasites live in the ground after the poop has decomposed?
The eggs of most parasites can survive in the soil for almost a month. To prevent the spread of parasites, pet waste and feces should be cleaned up and removed within 2 weeks – before these eggs hatch! There are also some parasites that lay dormant until the weather changes or the proper host comes along.
Can the parasites in dog and cat fecal matter cause sickness in humans?
There are multiple diseases that can be spread from pet waste to humans. Campylobacteriosis, Cryptosporidiosis, Giardiasis, Salmonellosis, Toxocariasis, and Toxoplasmosis are just a few. The symptoms of these diseases range from stomach cramping, diarrhea, and vomiting, as well as vision loss and birth defects in children. That’s six good reasons to clean up after your pet.
How often should your lawn be cleaned?
Most people use our weekly cleanup service. We offer a range of services from Total cleanup and disinfection to our bucket service. Either service can be done daily, weekly, or monthly. Most clients are happy with weekly service, but you decide what works best for you.
Do you offer ‘pooper scooper services’ year-round?
Of course, dogs don’t stop pooping just because it’s cold outside! Freezing temperatures prevents the waste from decomposing quickly so it’s very important to scoop year round.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No contract is required, and you can cancel anytime with a 24-hour notice. We aim to make our customers happy so cancellation is not something we encounter often. We want our customers to be happy with the service they are receiving and will go above and beyond to provide exemplary service that our customers deserve.
Can you clean up with my dogs in the yard?
We sure can! Your dog is our best friend, and most of the time the dogs love when we visit. With the exception of aggressive dogs that pose a threat to our employees, they are welcome to stay in the yard. If your dog is territorial or aggressive, we ask they stay in another area until the cleanup is completed.
